How does the waitlist work?

Once you have filled out your application and are approved for a puppy and you are ready to sign up for a Lovebug Doodle we ask for $300 NON REFUNDABLE deposit ; however, transferable to any of our future litters. We contact everyone on the list each time we have a litter and go down on the list based on who was first on the list. Sometimes this process can take a week or so. You may be contacted several times regarding litters we actually can’t offer you but it serves as an update to our families.

We have 2 waitlists you can be on more then one if you chose to. Waitlist 1: Goldendoodles ( all sizes , you can decline as many litters as you want but understand you may receive emails for sizes you aren’t interested in and you can just pass or disregard them). Waitlist 2 : Bernedoodle Waitlist, same thing you will be contacted for all sizes.

*** YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CHECKING YOUR EMAIL. OUR EMAILS INFORMING YOU A LITTER IS BORN ARE TIME SENSITIVE . WE GENERALLY GIVE 48 HOURS FOR FAMILIES TO LET US KNOW IF THEY ARE INTERESTED OR NOT IN THE LITTER. IF YOU KNOW A LITTER YOU ARE INTERESTED IN IS BORN PLEASE WATCH YOUR EMAIL PLEASE :) **** Some of our emails have been known to go into “Junk” lately so please be checking your junk emails. We always post on our Facebook page that we have sent an email out so check and if you did not receive it , email us ASAP.

Wait times are dependent on colour and breed you are looking for. Our wait times are currently a lot lower right now (2023) and we have been able to offer some puppies to the general public.

When can you pick out your puppy?

Puppy picking is done around 6 weeks of age. Everyone who has signed on for the litter is given a half an hour time slot where they can come to our home, talk on the phone or FaceTime to pick out their furkid. If there is inclement weather we will offer FaceTime or other virtual options.

What modes of payment do we accept?

We accept cash, interac - etransfer and credit card.. If paying in cheque for the deposit that is fine, but for final payment we require cash or an e-transfer that has been accepted before the puppy leaves our home. For puppy shipping we require full payment 48 hours prior to flight.

Credit Card Payments as of February 1st,2021 will be an additional 4 percent of the total invoice . We are one of the few breeders that offer the credit card option and it does enquer a fee to us. Credit Card Payments are done through Quickbooks, we will send out an invoice should you choose this option.

When do you expect to have availability ?

Currently we are having some availability come up in our current litters despite having a long waitlist. We may be able to offer you a puppy right away or it could be 6 months plus. Don’t hesitate to reach out to us letting us know what kind of furkid your looking for ( Bernedoodle vs Goldendoodle, colouring, sizing etc) and we can give you the best estimate of how long you may wait.

We never make promises or GUARANTEE a litter or time frame we do however , give our best estimate.

Do we offer any discounts ?

We offer a $200 discount to families who will be training their puppy as a service dog or an emotional support dog. This discount will ONLY be given to you once you send proof you have done training. We give up to one year to at least be enrolled in a program to receive the discount.

WE DO NOT NEGOTIATE ON ADOPTION FEES OF OUR PUPPIES . Please read the adoption fee tab on our website to ensure you are comfortable with our pricing.

How do we socialize our puppies?

We do early neurological stimulation ( ENS) on our pups. They are handled daily living in our home. They are socialized with children of all ages and other dogs. Starting at about 5-6 Weeks ( weather permitting) we go outside daily for some fun. We use a sound machine that plays white noise and thunder at night to have them used to these noises and to not be fearful. We expose them to bathing , cutting nails , and the hair dryer. They hear the normal sounds of a household ( children yelling, vacuum, doorbell, televison,washer/ dryer, dogs barking etc). They are exposed to a kennel but not fully kennel trained by the time they leave our home. They are trained to go on wood pellets here for voiding and defecating , its an area sectioned off in their enclosure. They have lots of stimulating toys and activities that they do alone and with us as well. We also take our puppies for the occasional drive just to start them on getting used to the car .Most importantly they receive lots of love during their time with us .

Do we recommend Pet Insurance?

Yes, we recommend pet insurance. All of our puppies leave our home with 30 days free of pet insurance through Trupanion. We provide the offer to the families but the families are responsible to call Trupanion before the 24 hour mark of getting their pup to set the trial up. We recommend Trupanion to our families but there are many companies out there. Please ensure you read all the fine print with a pet insurance company and you get what you would like with the deductible you desire. We recommend having at least $5000.00 in insurance for those major accidents or sudden illness ( Your pup ate something they shouldn’t have, car accident etc ).

Do we train Service Dogs?

No we do not, but several of our puppies have gone to training and have become emotional support , therapy dogs or service dogs.

How Often Can you Expect an Update on your puppy once you have locked in on a litter?

We try to take weekly pictures of the puppies and a video. Videos are not every week and pictures may not be the same day every week. Please do not ask us for additional photos or when they will be posted. We promise to post as often as possible.

Are Our Puppies Microchipped?

No , our puppies are not microchipped. We use to have our vet microchip our puppies up until fall 2020. New suggestions from microchip company and our vet state its better to be done at spay/ neuter time. We were having issues with the microchips actually coming out ( not from improper insertion ).
